Digital Display Temperature‑Controlled Oxygen Index Tester

The digital‑display oxygen index tester is used to evaluate the combustion performance of polymers under specified test conditions, i.e. to determine the minimum volumetric percentage concentration of oxygen that just sustains polymer combustion. It is applicable for combustion performance tests of plastics, rubber, fibers, foamed plastics, sheets, films, textiles and other materials.
Equipped with imported oxygen sensor; oxygen concentration is displayed digitally without manual calculation, featuring higher accuracy. Measuring range: 0‑100%.
Built‑in temperature controller; temperature control range: 23℃±2℃.
Digital resolution: ±0.1%.
Measurement accuracy: Class 0.4.
Flow adjustment range: 0‑10 L/min (60‑600 L/h).
Response time: <5 s.
High‑temperature‑resistant quartz combustion tube: inner diameter ≥75 mm, height 480 mm.
Gas flow velocity inside combustion tube: 40 mm±2 mm/s.
Pressure gauge accuracy: Class 2.5; resolution: 0.01 MPa.
Flowmeter: adjustable 1‑15 L/min (60‑900 L/h). Test ambient conditions: ambient temperature: room temperature ~ 40℃; relative humidity: ≤70%.
Input gas pressure: 0.2‑0.3 MPa.
Working pressure: Nitrogen 0.1‑0.15 MPa; Oxygen 0.1‑0.15 MPa. Oxygen/nitrogen mixed‑gas inlet equipped with pressure‑stabilizing valve, flow regulating valve, gas filter and mixing chamber.
Sample clamps are suitable for soft and hard plastics, textiles, fire‑proof doors and other specimens.
Propane (butane) ignition system; flame length adjustable from 5 mm to 60 mm.
Test gas: industrial‑grade nitrogen and oxygen with purity>99%. (Note: Gas sources and connecting fittings shall be provided by the user.)

Tips: For test operation of oxygen index tester, one cylinder each of industrial‑grade oxygen and nitrogen (purity ≥98%) shall be prepared as gas supply. Since these gases are classified as high‑risk transport goods, they cannot be supplied as accessories of the instrument. Users shall purchase them from local qualified gas suppliers. (Purchase from official local gas stations to guarantee gas purity.)
Power supply: AC220 V (+10%), 50 Hz.
Maximum power consumption: 50 W.
Igniter: Consists of a metal tube with a nozzle of Φ2±1 mm inner‑diameter at the tip. It can be inserted into the combustion tube to ignite specimens. Flame length: 16±4 mm, adjustable.
Self‑supporting sample clamp: Can be fixed at the axial centre of combustion tube to hold specimens vertically.
Non‑self‑supporting sample clamp: Fixes two vertical edges of specimens onto the frame simultaneously (optional accessory, for non‑self‑supporting materials such as textiles and thin films).
Control box: CNC‑machined forming with electrostatic spraying finish for nice appearance, rust‑proof and anti‑corrosion performance. The control unit and test unit adopt separated control design.
Combustion tube: High‑quality high‑temperature‑resistant quartz glass tube (inner diameter 75 mm, length 480 mm); outlet inner diameter: Φ40 mm.
Sample fixtures: Self‑supporting fixture for vertical specimen clamping; non‑self‑supporting specimen frame available as option. Two sets of clamps satisfy diverse test requirements. Plug‑in‑type clamps enable simple and convenient specimen mounting.
Nozzle bore diameter at the tip of long‑rod igniter: 2±1 mm; igniter flame length adjustable within 5‑50 mm.

Design Standards: GB/T 2406.2‑2009, GB/T 2406.1‑2008Complied Standards: ASTM D 2863, ISO 4589‑2, NES 714, GB/T 5454, GB/T 10707, GB/T 8924‑2005, GB/T 16581‑1996, NB/SH/T 0815‑2010, TB/T 2919‑1998, IEC 61144‑1992, ISO 15705‑2002, ISO 4589‑2‑1996
Tip: Difference between Model JF‑3A and Model JF‑3 digital‑display oxygen index tester: JF‑3A is equipped with an additional temperature‑controller; all other technical parameters are identical with JF‑3.
